Love the foliage lighting in the Witcher 3. And they are speedtrees so any advice on getting this sort of lighting in UE4? I also imagine that once I rebuild 4.19 with VXGI, HBAO. Nvidia volumetric lighting ETC (I usually use a game works build but haven't gotten around to it for this update yet) it will help with some of the over.

Hi, this is what I have got; This is what happens when I cancel the build, calls it an Orphaned Job;Its ALL default settings, don't think i found anything on the WIKI that I haven't done.It appears it was working then it stopped/hanged.What could be causing the build process to hang like that (Once it even got up to 14%)?Thanks.Edit; Ahh hang on found this; Now in the WIKI i did find this; But is that the cause of the hang up?I will try to and see if it makes a difference. But I'm a bit confused because it says '. you’ll need to setup a second UV channel for your lightmap otherwise the editor will use the existing texture UV as the lightmap which can lead to these kinds of errors.' But my mesh already have to UV Channels;Do I just go ahead and add a 3rd?

Hello!Have you encountered the “Swarm Failed to Kick Off” error on an Unreal Engine project when trying to build a level? I did, after we switched to a custom engine build. Since most of the resources on the web were not helpful.

Here’s a really simply fix that may work for you.(Step 3 is the most important. I did the first two steps, but they may be unnecessary.

Back up any files you want kept!). Delete the stuff in this folder (or equivalent location – wherever your engine is installed.)E:UE414UnrealEngine-4.14EngineSavedSwarmSwarmCache2.

Delete all the stuff in this folder (or equ ivalent for your engine version.)C:UsersYOURWindowsUserAppDataLocalUnrealEngine4.143. Open the UE4.sln file in your engine install folder.Build UnrealLightmass. Once this is done, run the editor and you should be able to build your levels again. That last step should almost certainly resolve your issue. If not, there are other solutions on the net, but this is the one that fixed it for me.Hope that helps somebody out there!— ZagPATREON PLUG:If you like my ramblings, game dev tips, and want me to do more, please consider a small donation to my efforts.
