In this Total War: Warhammer 2 High Elves Guide, we will guide you on High Elves and how to win with them. High Elves are one of the oldest factions in the game and they have their own unique. Buildings improve your empire and boost it in many different ways, from generating more money, to recruiting new military units. Each faction has different buildings available (see the list at the bottom of the page). Buildings come in chains which upgrade in levels or tiers: I, II, III, IV, V. Could definitely shape your initial strategic decisions as to which regions you'll want to occupy quickly, and in which order, and what you'll want to spec each region for. Note that none of the special buildings will unlock technology for research, so you'll still need to build the regular building chains for that.
Also, note that the Vampire Counts can build the Altdorf Colleges of Magic and the Kislev Bokha Palace.EDIT: Dug into the encyclopedia a bit more. I will warn you, if this is /s I am not picking up on it!But, slow and steady wins the race, the world is gonna be moving quickly around you, a lot will happen.
Take your time. Plan your move. Start with one province until you have the economy flourishing before you do more, the game tries to rush you with quests and missions you may not be ready for. Taking time to prepare is key. For instance, I only own one province and two single settlements of other provinces, yet I am the 5th strongest faction currently and have repelled anyone who has even looked at my bases funny. And only now do I start to spread my influence, taking one, defending it until I have walls up and moving on.Also, try not to over stretch your buildings, you cannot tech into every high tier unit quickly.
Decide wether you want (using empire as an example) heroes, artillery, cavalry or infantry and commit. Normally you need 2 tier 4 or 5 buildings for things such as Great Swords or Demigryph but you generally can't fit all 4 on one province.Lastly, on the previous note, you WILL need another provincial capital but that doesn't mean you need the whole province. Marienburg and Wissenland have capitals extremely close by, I have taken Nuln but ignored everything else in Wissenland (for now) because as great as it would be to have the whole thing. I really want the building space for advanced units.I hope that helps, need anything else let me know. Thanks for all of the info and it wasnt /s at all haha. I just have been having an issue with stopping raiding. I've learned to play slow and not rush (I've played total war before but this is the first one I've really gotten in to).
I originally pushed out too fast with too small of an army. I was going great and had everything locked down until I had a few people declare war on me. As I went to fight one, the Skaeling came down and wreaked havoc and I could never catch them.

I'm thinking I should have turtled more. Either way, I've been playing on hard because I didn't find normal to be challenging enough in the battles. I then ending up losing my lord to the skaeling and will now be starting over.
Huh, I go for the complete opposite approach - conquer as much as possible early on and build growth, money making buildings and walls. Sack some non-capturable settlements when you get to them for a burst of income to keep building and try and keep at least 2 stacks attacking together with one (preferably the lowest level lord) to keep destroying rebellions and defend so he can train up.This worked well as Empire and Greenskins, although I think I was lucky with Empire as Kislev absolutely destroyed the Chaos Invasions; although in my Greenskins one I was invaded by Chaos after they had trashed Kislev, VC and Empire (but they didn't get very far facing my high level lords, Black Orcs and Doomdivers).
